While I was home my brother and his wife Jess had their second child. Jameson David Smith was born December 3, 2010. He is so precious!

While Jim was gone, Laney and I went down to Denver and spent a week with Gran and Grandad. We had such a great time.

Laney babysits

While I was in the back room, Jim was out in the living room with Laney. When I came out to join them this is what I found. Guess you can tell we're a little tired at our house.

My Little Launch Director

A couple of weeks ago we went home for 7 days. During our time home the balloon fiesta was happening. For those of you who don't know what that is let me tell you...balloons from all over the world come to Albuquerque for 9 days of events. This year there were 500 balloons in attendance. My family has been participating in fiesta since I was 3. Needless to say Laney HAD to have her first ride during fiesta with her Great Grandma the Pilot...yes friends my 72 year old Grandma flies a hot air balloon. Laney was her youngest rider at 81 days old! Don't worry we didn't fly across town, just a simple tethered ride qualified. As you look through the pictures you might wonder why Laney is dressed like a Zebra, well the launch directors(the balloon fiesta officials who give the go ahead on flying) all dress like Zebras and I couldn't resist dressing Laney that way too.
