The house that became a home.

We moved to Cheyenne in July of 2006. We bought this house, our second home. I liked it pretty well. Let's be honest, we weren't excited to move here. Cheyenne represented the loss of a dream, the start of a new very unfamiliar life. What we didn't realize is that it brought us so much. New friends, new jobs, and a stronger marriage. We have been through just about everything in this home. Although it wasn't the first home Jim and I bought together, it sure feels that way. When our realtor put the for sale sign in the yard I became teary. Jim was surprised. I have lived in a lot of homes, unlike him who has only lived in two. He asked why I was so "attached" to this home and none of the others. I told him it was because we brought our baby home to this home. I know, we are in the Air Force and Laney will have many homes, but there is just something about the home you bring your baby to.

  1. I know that feeling. I bawled like a baby when we moved out of our house in Columbus because it was the home we brought Gavin home to. :)
